Zintech Orders not affected by Royal Mail Strike
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009Business as usual for Zintech
As you will all be aware from the amount of press coverage it has received Royal Mail have now begun a 48 hour strike. It has also been well reported about the disruption this causes to businesses such as ourselves and other companies who rely on the Royal Mail delivery service. We can assure all customers who have placed orders with us and those who are considering it, our service will not be affected by the strike action. We have contingency plans in place so that we will deliver your product a few days earlier or if an order is placed on the day of a strike we will use our alternative courier- FedEx.
The current strike is for 48 hours from 0400 today, Thursday 22 October and the communication workers union (CWU) are threatening more strikes if the dispute cannot be resolved. The way it is looking at the moment the two parties do seem a long way from a resolution so there is a good chance the strike will be prolonged in the run up to Christmas. The last postal strikes occurred 2 years ago and as a company we still managed to provide the same service to all our customers. The cost to use an alternative courier is more costly for us but we intend to absorb this cost so that our prices remain the same.
You may see Zintech in the media in the coming days as we were interviewed recently by a leading national newspaper to give our thoughts on the strike and how it will affect our business. As we have said above, whilst the strike is inconvenient, we will still deliver the same high level of service as normal.
