TomTom have recently released mapping for the middle east that we will soon be offering on our website. The countries covered are Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. This has been quite a long time coming for whatever reason but with more people visiting the Gulf it should prove very popular. Perhaps the only drawback is with so many new roads being built in places such as Dubai the mapping will be hard to keep up to date. However, having a GPS for these countries is far better than using a map which is likely to be evn more out of date. In the past we have lots of requests for mapping for the middle east for people either holidaying on business or visting family that have moved out there.
TomTom boast 183,620 kms or roads covered as well as 90,794 points of interest (POI) included for the whole region. In Kuwait there is 99% house number coverage and in UAE there is 36%. The mapping is seamless allowing you to travel form country to country cross border.
